Product Director
The Product Director will own the vision, strategy, and execution of the Terra Point product. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on product management, requiring a strong business mindset, technical fluency, and the ability to drive measurable outcomes. Success in this role will be defined by marketplace growth, customer adoption, and operational excellence.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
Review marketplace health metrics and identify short- or long-term course corrections.
Meet with the product team to assess in-flight and planned projects; provide guidance and unblock challenges.
Review BRDs, UAT environments, and production processes to ensure quality and alignment.
Participate in sprint grooming sessions to understand upcoming work and provide input.
Dive into logs or databases to troubleshoot issues and support optimal decision-making.
Respond to sales feedback on new feature requests; evaluate prioritization and backlog impact.
Collaborate with senior product leadership and engineering groups on cross-functional initiatives.
Summarize weekly progress and share updates with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Present updates to the leadership team on a bi-weekly to monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision :
Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals.
Maintain a multi-year roadmap informed by market trends and customer needs.
Ensure alignment across stakeholders (sales, marketing, legal, engineering, leadership).
Provide weekly updates on critical features and development progress.
Over time, this role may grow into other product / engineering areas beyond Terra Point.
Leadership & Team Management :
Manage two existing squads of engineers, PMs, designers, QA, and other related resources.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Manage and alter budgets according to team needs.
Market & Customer Insights :
Conduct research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
Champion customer-centric design and measurable value delivery.
Execution & Delivery :
Establish mechanisms for consistent product delivery (e.g., BRDs, sprint reviews).
Oversee product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely execution.
Act as an IC on select projects when needed.
Performance & Metrics :
Define annual goals, ramps, and KPIs to measure success.
Provide monthly updates on progress and insights.
Use data-driven decisions to iterate and improve.
Qualifications
10+ years in product management, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
Proven success in building and scaling products.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and emerging technologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with marketplaces preferred.
Familiarity with SQL, analytics tools, and Agile methodologies a plus.
