Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals with expertise in medical billing and coding to contribute to patient care and operational efficiency. The role will involve managing billing processes, insurance claims, and patient payment collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities :

• Process medical bills and claims accurately, ensuring compliance with insurance policies and regulations.
• Handle patient payment collections, including insurance and cash transactions, in a detail-oriented manner.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Collect and verify patient information at the front desk to facilitate smooth billing processes.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and patient transactions for audit purposes.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.
• Utilize medical billing software to streamline and manage billing operations.
• Support the front desk by guiding patients and managing administrative tasks.
• Ensure all billing operations adhere to healthcare regulations and standards.
• Work closely with the physical therapy team to align billing practices with patient care. Requirements - Proven experience in medical billing and coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical collections and claims processes.
• Familiarity with medical billing software and tools, such as Epaces.
• Ability to manage patient information with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance providers.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
• Proficient in handling administrative tasks in a medical office environment.
