Mobile Diesel Mechanic Needed!

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Diesel Mechanic! This position is field-based and requires the ability to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel equipment and vehicles at customer locations or roadside. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable, and able to work independently while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites, or roadside locations to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered trucks and equipment

• Perform scheduled maintenance, oil changes, filter replacements, brake work, and fluid services

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge

• Complete DOT inspections and ensure vehicles/equipment meet safety standards

• Maintain detailed records of services provided and parts used

• Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on repairs and timelines

• Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; diesel tech certification preferred

• 2+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience

• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills

• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
