Microgrid Controls Engineering Manager

A company is looking for a Software Engineer, Microgrid Controls Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Controls Engineering Team, mentoring engineers and overseeing microgrid control code

Define technical approaches and long-term roadmaps for microgrid control systems and ensure compliance with grid requirements

Coordinate validation testing and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with operations teams

Required Qualifications

8-12+ years of experience in real-time controls, power systems, or microgrid controls

3-5+ years of experience in a technical management role or leading engineering teams

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Strong background in real-time control systems and experience with microgrids and distributed energy resources

Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements and utility grid interconnection standards
