About The Position

✨ Opportunity Overview

A leading oncology care center in Greenville, SC is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant – Oncology for long-term locum coverage. Step into a supportive environment where you’ll work with a collaborative team of dedicated physicians and APPs providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric oncology patients.

🗓 Coverage Dates : Feb 1, 2026 – Sept 30, 2026

👨‍⚕️ Profession : Physician Assistant

🩺 Specialty : Oncology

🕒 Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM

📍 Setting : Outpatient & Inpatient Oncology

💼 Position Highlights

Free-standing cancer center practice

Reason for need : Provider departure

Work alongside 8 physicians + 4 APPs

Patient load : 15 outpatient / day , 20 inpatient / day (during call)

EMR : EPIC

📞 Call Requirements

First call for patient & hospital calls :

Tues 4 : 30 PM – Wed 8 : 00 AM

Fri 4 : 30 PM – Mon 8 : 00 AM

On-site weekend rounding : Saturday & Sunday

Rotation : Every 5–6 weeks , depending on staffing

🧪 Clinical Responsibilities

Bone marrow transplant management

Blood bank coordination

Ordering labs, tests & imaging

Prescribing

Collaboration with oncology nursing for chemotherapy administration

🧾 Mandatory Requirements

  • Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
  • Active SC License (or willing to obtain)
  • BLS
  • DEA
  • Must be submitted to both associated job postings (including Job 60840)
