Float Pool Registered Nurse - ED Boarding, Med / Surg, ICU - Night Shift

As a vital part of our Internal Float Pool, you will rotate between ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. Every shift offers new experiences and the opportunity to expand your clinical skills.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care. Your role includes assessing patient needs, planning interventions, and evaluating care effectiveness while engaging with patients and families closely.

In this role, you will anticipate and respond to changes in patient conditions, mobilizing appropriate resources while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care. You will implement strategies aimed at increasing patient safety and work actively towards an effective discharge plan with a focus on quality improvement initiatives.

Licenses & Certifications : Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA.

Degrees : Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Required Experience : Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Ability to provide holistic patient care, respond to unpredictable situations effectively, and maintain excellent communication. You’ll display strong organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills, collaborating and delegating appropriately within a healthcare team.
