About the Role:


Global Language System (a division of Global Impact Group LLC), a certified SDVOSB and ISO 9001:2015 / ISO 17100:2015 language service provider, is seeking experienced Onsite Interpreters to support hearings, investigations, mediations, and other legal proceedings at the NLRB Regional Office located in Indianapolis, IN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation services between English and the target language.
• Interpret during legal proceedings, interviews, and staff meetings with high accuracy and neutrality.
• Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and professionalism at all times.
• Adhere to interpreter code of ethics and NLRB procedural protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in onsite interpretation, preferably in legal or administrative settings.
• Proficiency in English and your target
• Familiarity with legal terminology and concepts.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain decorum in formal settings.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from state or federal interpreting programs (if applicable).
• Membership in ATA, NCIHC, or equivalent.
• Experience working in government or union environments is a plus.

Compensation:


Hourly rate commensurate with experience. W-9 required for payment.
