The Provider Enrollment Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the provider enrollment process for commercial payers. This position ensures timely and accurate submissions of enrollment applications, maintains compliance with organizational standards, and assists Provider Enrollment Analysts with various credentialing and enrollment tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Management:
- Prepare and submit 20–25 initial enrollment applications for contracted/commercial payers weekly.
- Forward completed applications to the Enrollment Analyst for audit and quality assurance.
- Follow-Up and Support:
- Assist Provider Enrollment Analysts with approximately 5 hours per week of follow-up on submitted applications to confirm effective dates and ensure accurate enrollment.
- Provide support for additional enrollment activities, including recredentialing, validations, and updates, as requested.
- Data Integrity and System Updates:
- Update MD Staff daily with accurate provider enrollment information.
- Verify provider data on health plan portals to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Communication and Issue Resolution:
- Respond to inquiries from providers, clinical staff, payers, and internal departments within 2 business days.
- Assist in resolving billing issues related to credentialing and enrollment discrepancies.
- Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of provider and organizational information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in departmental and cross-functional meetings to support process improvements.
- Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
