A health services agency in New York is currently seeking muktiple full time contract Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join their Residential Treatment team in Ulster County, NY. In this role, the Resident Treatment LPN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to agency clients in accordance with agency policies and procedures and current standards.

Responsibilities :
Assists with patient care, including checking vital signs, blood pressure, pulse rate, breathing, temperature, weight, and discussing chief health concernsAdminister injections and perform testsTake patient's medical history, all pretreatment formalities and enters data in computer systemRecord in patients' record a detailed report of care givenHandle proper charting, documentation and maintenance of patients' medical recordsCheck, clean, and dress woundsPlace phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptionsPull and prepare patient chartsMaintain the neatness of the work area; stock patient rooms with suppliesPerform other duties as requestedQualifications :
1+ year of Nursing experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDGraduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN ProgramNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)BLS certificationMethadone experienceProficiency in Phlebotomy and EKGKnowledge of Medical terminologyComputer savvy and Microsoft Office proficientDesired Skills :
2+ years of Nursing experienceAssociate's and / or Bachelor's Degree in NursingBilingualKnowledge of multi-disciplinary team experienceKnowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including Crisis Management techniques
