Job Title : Senior Information Risk Consultant - Information Security

Location : Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL

Experience Level : Mid-Senior (7+ years)

Job Type : Contract (No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments of applications, infrastructure, and vendors using established methodologies.
  • Identify and document control gaps and provide actionable remediation recommendations .
  • Partner with business and technology teams to articulate risks in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Evaluate and ensure remediation plans effectively address identified risks.
  • Document risks in the companys risk register and assist with policy exceptions and risk acceptance processes .
  • Drive process improvements in the risk assessment program .

Qualifications

Must-Have :

  • 5-7 years of experience in risk assessment (application, infrastructure, or vendor risk management).
  • Strong knowledge of technical infrastructure , networks , databases , and cybersecurity risks .
  • Proficiency in information risk management frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel , PowerPoint , and PowerBI for data analysis and presentations.
  • Strong critical thinking , analytical skills , and attention to detail.

    • Nice-to-Have :

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry .
  • Certifications such as CISSP , CISM , or CRISC .
  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
