Junior Buyer

Janicki Industries is an innovative family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace defense and space industries. We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Junior Buyer is accountable for aiding the Buyer / Planners in all aspects of bids procuring materials creating purchase orders managing supplier information and delivering exceptional customer service. Their main objective is to help ensure that suppliers meet or surpass Janicki Industries quality and delivery objectives. The following essential job functions are performed as a Junior Buyer :

• Assist in the procurement of goods and services by preparing purchase order maintaining data in the ERP system
• Assist in comparing prices specifications and delivery dates to help determine the best bid among potential suppliers
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of products to meet inventory needs
• Coordinate with the accounts payable department to ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing for purchased items
• Maintain and update supplier information including contact details product specifications and performance evaluations
• Participate in inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies
• Ensures processes comply with AS9100 quality requirements
• Interfaces with internal customers on supplier issues
• Must work well under pressure meeting and completing multiple deadlines
• Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
• Performs other duties as assigned

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

QUALIFICATIONS
