We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for medical services. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and excels in verifying insurance eligibility and resolving billing inquiries.

Responsibilities :

• Process and submit claims to insurance providers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify patient insurance information, ensuring eligibility and coverage details are correct.
• Resolve billing discrepancies by communicating with insurance companies and patients effectively.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of billing activities and payments.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation for claims.
• Address inquiries from patients regarding billing statements and insurance coverage.
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to medical billing.
• Provide regular updates and reports on billing status and account receivables.
• Identify opportunities for improving billing processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
• Proficiency in verifying insurance eligibility after claim is filed and reason for denials
• Strong understanding of medical billing codes and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff.
• Familiarity with billing software and electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Problem-solving skills to address billing issues and discrepancies.
