Under General direction of senior staff or management, you will preform skilled mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on automotive, HD equipment, trucks, and power equipment. You will be expected to keep your general area safe and clean while also helping coworkers with additional tasks as needed.
We are looking for a Mechanic who specializes in working on heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, and regular vehicle maintenance. A DTS HD Truck Mechanic will be responsible for :
Diagnosing engine problems with assistance if needed
Diagnosing computer systems with assistance if needed
Maintaining drive trains, oil systems, and transmissions
Inspecting and repairing air brakes
Replacing defective parts
Helping conduct DOT inspections
General shop cleanup and maintenance
Document and record all work completed
Any and all additional tasks assigned to you by management
All applicants MUST have :
Must be able to regularly bend over, lift / move up to 50 lbs, and stand on your feet for extended periods of time
A valid MT driver’s license (Class B Preferred but not required)
The ability to pass the pre-employment physical exam
The ability to pass a controlled substances test
A High school diploma, GED, or HS equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant mechanical experience
General experience and understanding of safety practices and procedures
General Computer Knowledge (Experience with ShopMonkey is preferred but not required)
Must have basic hand tools expected of a Diesel Mechanic
A good work ethic and willingness to work independently
PAY RANGE : $20 - $30 per Hour (Depending on experience and certifications)
