Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst II (Theatre Systems) ensures the quality and reliability of software used in theatres by developing and executing tests that identify issues before release. This role analyzes and documents defects, collaborates with developers to resolve issues, and maintains rigorous testing standards that protect system performance and guest experience. This role supports continuous improvement of test processes, automation, and documentation aligned with established quality frameworks.
This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.
What you will be doing :
- Design and execute test plans, test conditions, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
- Identify bugs and errors, document findings, and track resolutions through completion.
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements to testing methods and automation.
- Follow established quality and change management processes to reduce risk during releases or system changes.
- Support requirement analysis, test strategies, and test planning activities across the development lifecycle.
- Provide support during user acceptance testing and post-implementation review.
- Create, enhance, and debug automated test scripts using SmartBear TestComplete.
- Execute automated regression, system integration, and product testing.
- Run SQL queries to validate database results and support data accuracy.
- Capture application behavior through screen images and reporting tools.
- Maintain Quality Assurance (QA) documentation repositories, including test tools, job aids, and specifications.
- Track and report error frequency and severity to support quality decision-making.
- Maintain QA lab environments, including hardware, peripherals, network connectivity, installation, and configuration.
- Build and optimize relationships with IT teams, business partners, and vendor partners.
- Communicate test plans, progress, and risks clearly and proactively.
- Work independently and in a collaborative team environment while meeting deadlines.
- Perform setup and handling of theatre systems testing equipment, routinely lifting 25+ pounds.
What we need from you :
Associate in Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant experience in software quality assurance.2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role or field theatre manager experience.Knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methods, and controls within technology delivery.Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organization and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.What we also value (preferred) :
Experience creating test cases and documentation.Experience testing point-of-sale systems or theatre system environments.Experience with SQL, database tools, and test automation platforms, ideally SmartBear TestComplete.Proficiency with scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or PowerShell.Familiarity with version control systems and test management tools such as Git, Jira, or ALM.Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on quality.Minimum qualifications :
