Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician
Location : Long Beach, CA
Contract Type : 13-Week Contract to Permanent
Shift : 3rd Shift | 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM
Pay Rate : $29 / hour
Position Summary :
We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract-to-permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate will ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and maintained according to the highest safety and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Follow all ANSI / AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company work instructions.
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble complex surgical instruments.
- Assemble and package instrument trays accurately according to set guidelines.
- Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and signs of wear or damage.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory.
- Handle instruments and equipment carefully to prevent loss or damage.
- Perform computer-based record-keeping and maintain organized workstation areas.
- Monitor and restock instrument and supply inventories as needed.
- Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on sterilization equipment.
- Comply with all quality assurance and infection control policies.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments and support staff.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and required certification maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.Certification : Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST, CIS, or equivalent).Experience : Prior experience in a sterile processing or hospital surgical services environment preferred.Skills : Strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols, and teamwork.For more details reach at ukhan@navitashealth.com / 518-862-1204.
