Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician

Location : Long Beach, CA

Contract Type : 13-Week Contract to Permanent

Shift : 3rd Shift | 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Pay Rate : $29 / hour

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract-to-permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate will ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and maintained according to the highest safety and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Follow all ANSI / AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company work instructions.
• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble complex surgical instruments.
• Assemble and package instrument trays accurately according to set guidelines.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and signs of wear or damage.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory.
• Handle instruments and equipment carefully to prevent loss or damage.
• Perform computer-based record-keeping and maintain organized workstation areas.
• Monitor and restock instrument and supply inventories as needed.
• Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on sterilization equipment.
• Comply with all quality assurance and infection control policies.
• Collaborate effectively with internal departments and support staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and required certification maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
