Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to thoroughly assess patients' conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills are essential.Knowledge in quality improvement concepts and techniques is desired.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
