CMK Resources is looking for an experienced RPG Programmer with an Automotive Manufacturing Focus. This role will be responsible for supporting end-users and system infrastructures across multiple facilities, with a strong focus on ERP, plant floor, shipping, and scanning operations. You will provide systems analysis, programming, and documentation for business-critical applications while ensuring data integrity and smooth daily operations.

This is a 100% onsite role in Plymouth, MI with a salary target around $120K. (no remote)

High-Level Responsibilities :

  • Support, maintain, and upgrade existing applications. (~70% of time)
  • Programming (RPG, mainly). (~10% of time)
  • Administrative tasks related to IT. (~20% of time)
  • Work with internal and external custom applications.

Platforms & Interfaces :

  • IBM i (AS400) and Windows OS
  • ERP database systems (BPCS)
  • Scanning / labeling programs and interfaces

    • Key Technical Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of RPG programming
  • Understanding of ERP databases and tables
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes : Build-Ship-Get Paid flow (Receiving ? Warehouse ? Line ? Shipping ? FIN)
  • Experience with APIs :
  • Internal : API to access physical files in ERP
  • External : Custom App CSV or Cloud site JSON formats

    • ERP & Manufacturing Processes :

  • ERP / EDI / SCAN / LABEL system processes
  • Main departments supported : Finance, Production Control, Shipping

    • Ideal Background :

  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of data flow / processes within ERP systems
  • Ability to maintain / support existing interfaces rather than creating new programs
