Azure Security Cloud Architect

Job Description

In this role, you will define, design, and develop cybersecurity and privacy policies, compliance processes, and system authorization for cloud environments. You will analyze existing security controls, map them to compliance requirements, and implement new safeguards as needed. Responsibilities include assessing and documenting shared responsibility models, leading automation of Azure infrastructure and security controls using Terraform and policy-as-code, and collaborating with ITOps and DevOps teams on architecture reviews, risk assessments, and control mapping. You will drive the development of a Zero-Trust Architecture, identity and access controls, logging, and monitoring solutions, while coordinating risk mitigation and vulnerability remediation efforts. Additionally, you will design and deploy hybrid cloud solutions in FedRAMP High environments, integrating on-premises components, and lead incident management activities by analyzing attacker tactics and providing response support to prevent threats.

The hourly rate for this position is $95-$100 based on several factors including experience, education, etc. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience

• Azure Expertise : 5+ years in Azure security (GovCloud preferred).
• Hands-on with tools : Entra ID, Sentinel, Defender, Monitor, Key Vault.
• Manage Azure security policies and initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of IDAM, MFA, SSO / Federation, PAM / PIM.
• Ability to design, configure, and lead Azure GovCloud security architecture.
• Automate security baselines and policy enforcement using Terraform / ARM templates.
• Familiar with secure CI / CD and “Policy-as-Code.”
