Classification Minimum Requirements : A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description : We are seeking a detail‑oriented Graphic Designer with strong illustration skills to create engaging visuals that support our educational content. This role includes designing flat vector illustrations in our branded style, formatting and laying out text, incorporating images, and uploading content to the H5P platform. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and skilled at producing brand‑consistent materials. This is a time limited and soft funded position.

Responsibilities :

Create graphics, primarily flat vector illustrations that align with our brand's illustration style to support written learning objectives.

Assist as needed in creating other digital assets, such as graphics and illustrations for print, video, and the web.

Edit materials and presentations as needed per client request.

Upload and arrange text, graphics, and images for interactive activities in the Lastinger Learning LMS using H5P.

Write alt text descriptions to ensure all graphics are ADA‑compliant.

Conferring with internal staff and external partners to discuss and determine necessary parameters for creative aspects of projects.

Attend and participate in creative development meetings as needed.

Use implemented systems to track, maintain, monitor, and iterate on each product as they progress through the development cycle.

Maintain files and records of design and learning content materials.

Expected Salary : $55,000–$65,000.

Required Qualifications : A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred :

Illustration & design expertise (Adobe Design Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

Strong flat vector illustration skills

ADA, accessibility, and brand compliance experience

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Superior oral and written communication

Demonstrates collaborative, proactive, curious, gracious, accountable, data‑driven dispositions highly valued by the Lastinger Center.
