Join our Asset Creation team as a Senior Mathematics Content Developer, where you will leverage your expertise in content and assessment to create K-12 assessments for our diverse state and district clientele. This role focuses on developing standards-based assessments that are tailored to meet the unique needs of students across the United States. We are seeking innovative and adaptable professionals to lead our initiatives in creating accessible and effective assessments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and review a variety of assessment items and materials, including multiple-choice questions, performance tasks, and interactive simulations across several grade levels.
- Create and execute detailed specifications, item development plans, test frameworks, and additional relevant documentation.
- Ensure assessments consider accessibility factors for all learners.
- Utilize AI-driven tools to enhance the quality and accessibility of assessment content, adhering to established standards.
- Train and mentor team members in the integration of AI-generated materials into assessment processes, providing expert feedback.
- Responsible for selecting, supervising, and training writers and educators in standards-aligned item development.
- Lead client meetings focusing on assessment review and construction, along with various technical advisory activities.
- Act as a content expert while collaborating with internal teams and clients.
- Contribute to proposals by drafting test designs and writing relevant content.
- Manage teams of Assessment Specialists to ensure the successful design and implementation of high-stakes assessments.
- Work closely with cross-functional colleagues, including test development managers and psychometricians.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in educational content and assessment.
- Perform additional duties as required, including occasional travel.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in education, mathematics, or a related field.Minimum of five years' direct teaching experience in a related educational context is preferred.At least three years' experience in large-scale educational measurement is preferred.Strong familiarity with trends and advancements in education and subject matter expertise.Experience in leading educational assessment programs preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of the stages involved in developing and managing large-scale assessments.Proven skills in AI-supported content creation or a strong inclination to utilize AI effectively.Experience with assessing and refining AI-generated educational content.Proficient in various software applications with a willingness to learn new technologies.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Adept at solving problems creatively while engaging with diverse audiences.Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple objectives and adapt to changes.Ability to assess and provide insights regarding project timelines and procedural documents.Compensation : Salary at Pearson is influenced by numerous factors, including skill set and level of experience. In compliance with various state laws, the salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive program and includes benefits information.
