Description
The Industrial Engineer works as part of a small team dedicated to the Process engineering team and is entirely focused on designing processes for new and existing manufacturing lines. The team is responsible for process design and factory layout through quantitative analysis.
· Extensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for management.
· Perform data analysis for equipment and process buy-ins using DOEs, Gage R&Rs, and process capability studies.
· Experience with discrete event simulation software (ARENA, FlexSim, etc.)
· Generate and maintain documentation, including machine and process specification, drawing, BOM, spare part, PFMEA, control plan, and process flow chart.
· The candidate will be able to think at a systems level about the problems and provide improvements and operational strategies.
· Development station requirements (work content, automated versus manual, buffering strategy, redundancy requirements, etc.)
· Coordinate with other engineers and manage complete manufacturing line projects with multiple work centers.
· Experience with layouts in AutoCAD or Visio
· He/She takes pride in his/her thoroughness, analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Process Engineer Qualifications:
· 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering experience
· Experience introducing new production lines and processes into a production environment within timelines.
· Good understanding of manufacturing equipment systems (PLCs, robots, LOTO)
· BS or MS Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or equivalent experience
· Basic understanding of electrical circuits and concepts is an added advantage.
