Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to join a fire protection design team. In this role, you will design code-compliant fire sprinkler systems that protect lives and property across a variety of project types, including industrial warehouses, commercial buildings, residential developments, and mixed-use facilities.

This position involves applying industry standards, best practices, and modern design tools to deliver accurate, coordinated, and constructible fire sprinkler system designs that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using SprinkCAD in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  
• 
  Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure proper system sizing and performance.
  
• 
  Prepare design documents, fabrication listings, and support shop drawings.
  
• 
  Conduct field surveys and incorporate site conditions into designs.
  
• 
  Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other trades to resolve design conflicts.
  
• 
  Participate in BIM coordination and 3D modeling as needed.
  
• 
  Ensure accuracy, quality, and code compliance in all design deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• 
  Experience in fire sprinkler system design and layout.
  
• 
  Proficiency with SprinkCAD and hydraulic calculation tools.
  
• 
  Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
• 
  Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  

Preferred

• 
  NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (any level).
  
• 
  Experience working in BIM environments, including REVIT.
  
• 
  Experience coordinating fire protection systems on medium to large projects.
