What We Need

As a Government Sales Executive, you will be responsible for hunting, demonstrating and selling GPS Insight Solutions to drive new business revenue in State, Local and University fleets of all sizes. You will also be provided with opportunities qualified by our Business Development Team and will be responsible for managing our sales process through close and handoff to the Strategic Account Management. In addition to working qualified opportunities, the right candidate will have experience with and be expected to hunt and develop new business.

You will work from our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters office. You will be required to use our CRM and ERP system for all documentation of sales activities, orders, etc.

What You'll Do

  • Successfully hit annual revenue quota by closing qualified opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to learn what challenges prospects face and how those challenges are impacting their business.
  • Be a steward of time. Understand where our products and solutions are a good fit, and where we are not and use your time wisely to pursue the right opportunities
  • Present and demonstrate the GPS Insight solutions and how they help solve the unique business challenges of your prospects
  • Work with the Bid Management/RFP writer to respond to solicitations (RFI's/RFP's)
  • Manage and execute pilots as part of demonstrating GPS Insight solutions and closing business
  • Present ROI and business-case analysis for prospects, based on their challenges, our solutions and the data gathered during pilots
  • After closing new business and finalizing contracts, you will handoff your accounts to the Strategic Account Management Team with all information that is needed to begin deployment and onboarding
  • Work with installation and deployment teams to ensure a seamless and efficient installation handoff process.
  • Drive cross sell revenue into your existing customer base and expand solutions into other departments/agencies through referrals and networking
  • Work with Sales Engineers and Product Team where needed for presentations
  • Accurately forecast opportunities on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Document sales activity in our CRM and ERP system
  • Use company approved Sales Enablement Content to develop and manage opportunities
  • Take a team approach to sharing ideas, best practices, and collaboration
  • Develop relationship strategies through associations, conferences and government events

Requirements

  • 5+ years previous experience selling Software Solutions/SaaS into State and Local Government
  • Deep understanding of Government purchasing processes and cooperative contracts
  • Experience managing RFI/RFP responses
  • Fleet Industry Sales Experience is a plus
  • Technical background and/or understanding of API's, integrations, and data integration is a plus
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and work in a competitive environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and grow customer advocacy
  • Experience and/or understanding of API's and how they work within SAAS applications
  • Self-starter with proactive approach to finding new business
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to present in front of large groups is a must
