Location : Raleigh, NC 27607 (Onsite)

Duration : 12+ Months

• This position is assigned to first shift Monday - Friday with work hours from 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM with occasional holidays and weekends. You must be able to work these hours to be considered for this position.
• LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
• This position is to work onsite five days a week. Interested candidates will need to come in person for an interview.

Description :

The client seeks an experienced computer operator to monitor and maintain operational status of systems and telecommunications lines for Judicial Branch locations across the state.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following :

This position reports to the Computer Room Manager and works with the Operations and Systems team.

Knowledge of : computer operations and associated peripherals; and computer programming techniques.

Skills in : JES, MVS, JCL, z / OS SYSPLEX, and CA ESP job scheduler highly preferred.

Ability to : operate the mainframe computer console and follow procedures exactly to ensure timely and accurate program production; identify systems or equipment failures; identify and report programming malfunctions; understand complex instructions, both written and oral; and effectively communicate with others.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Graduation from high school and twenty-four (24) months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Management requires applicants with at least three (3) years of experience supporting a z / OS SYSPLEX environment.

CA ESP scheduling experience is highly preferred.
