Role Overview

As Professional Services Lead, you will architect and deliver high-impact solutions, ensuring customer success through expert guidance, project execution, and strategic advice. You'll oversee the end-to-end engagement lifecyclefrom scoping through deployment to adoption refinementwhile scaling the services organization globally and collaborating cross-functionally to reinforce ArangoDB's market leadership.

Location : Remote-first (U.S. or EMEA timezone), with flexible travel (~50% initially)

Reports to : Chief Product Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage the Professional Services team, including Implementation Architects, Technical Consultants, and Services Operations.
• Build, refine, and scale service offerings : consulting engagements, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, migrations, custom integrations, and training.
• Own project delivery and customer satisfaction, ensuring high quality and measurable impact.
• Engage in pre-sales with persuasive technical presentations, architecture workshops, PoCs, and demonstrations in close coordination with Sales and Solution Engineering teams.
• Provide thought leadership, technical evangelism, and technical subject-matter expertise across technical sessions, webinars, customer events, and conferences.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Services Operations to gather customer insights that inform the roadmap, messaging, and service offerings.
• Define and track KPIs across service engagements : utilization, delivery margins, onboarding time, retention, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, templates, pricing models, service delivery methodologies, and knowledge management.
