Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 12 / 22 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Summary - Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Phoenix Children's Hospital - Phoenix & Arrowhead Campus Start : 12 / 22 / 2025 | End : 03 / 28 / 2026 (13 Weeks) Schedule : 0600-1830, every other weekend required. Primary Location : Arrowhead Campus (Glendale, AZ) Float Locations : Main (Phoenix, AZ) and Avondale campuses as needed. Orientation : Held at Main Campus. Vaccination Requirements : COVID-19 : Recommended, not required. Flu : Required Oct-Apr (exemptions must be approved). Unvaccinated staff must sign Declination & Masking Protocol and mask for the full respiratory season. Role Summary : Provides routine and complex respiratory care using a broad range of techniques and equipment. Delivers safe, developmentally appropriate care to neonatal through adolescent patients. Supports departmental and hospital quality improvement initiatives. Education : Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program. Experience : 2 years as a licensed Respiratory Therapist. Minimum 2 years pediatric critical care experience (Critical Care & Emergency / Trauma strongly preferred). Level III or IV NICU experience strongly preferred. Certifications / Licenses : Active Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license (temporary or permanent; must be in hand ). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC. BLS - AHA. PALS - AHA. Preferred : AARC membership, NRP.
