ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Data Center Technician I, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure optimal uptime and provide regular basic repair services. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about our network technologies and will demonstrate the ability to adapt to evolving systems. You should also be able to stay current with emerging technologies. An analytical mindset is essential for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with mining equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and minimizing turnaround times.

The Data Center Technician I will perform routine maintenance under general supervision. This position ensures that the facility remains available for use and is consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. The role involves operating various maintenance and mining tools and equipment, as well as performing other related tasks as directed by the Associate Manager and / or Manager of Data Center Operations. This is a short-term, 90-day position. Strong performance during this period may lead to consideration for a full-time employment opportunity.

Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following :

Operations Management :

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize all critical data center systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and fire suppression systems to ensure continuous and efficient mining operations.
• Carry out basic miner repairs and maintenance, flash firmware on miners, and handle associated miner tools and equipment.
• Perform general facility duties as assigned.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules, performing regular inspections, cleaning, and necessary repairs on all data center equipment to prevent unplanned downtime.
