Virginia Mason Medical Center, recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking a certified Medical Assistant. You will assist providers and other members of the health care team in the clinic by performing a variety of back office and patient-related tasks. You will also perform a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice. These procedures may include injections, EKGs, ear lavage and blood draws, measuring patient vital signs, manage rooming and patient flow, assist with the patient visit, and post-visit duties. You will inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow, assist with front office activities and varied scheduling tasks and reports test results as directed by the provider.

Job Requirements :

• Graduation from an accredited medical Assisting program
• Washington State Department of Health medical Assistant - Certified (CM)
• Knowledge of third party payer requirements required
• Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required
• Skill in using a PC required
• One year Medical Assistant Certified experience preferred

Pay Range : $27.25 - $38.49 / hour
