A well-established Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in New York is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions within the building. This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting staff, strengthening facility culture, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management

• Handle employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution

• Ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, state, and federal employment laws

• Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave processes

• Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in accordance with regulatory standards

• Partner closely with department heads and facility leadership to support operations

• Lead training initiatives including orientation, in-service education, and compliance requirements

• Promote a positive, supportive, and professional work environment

Qualifications

• Previous HR leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare setting required

• Strong knowledge of NY employment laws and healthcare HR compliance

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
