About The Position

Position Overview

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Hematologist-Oncologist for locum tenens coverage this fall. Enjoy a flexible weekday schedule , no call responsibilities, and a supportive care environment in a well-respected community-based facility. This position focuses on delivering high-quality care to oncology and hematology patients across a broad spectrum of malignancies.

Responsibilities

Provide in-person outpatient care Monday through Wednesday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch).

Conduct follow-up office visits and initiate care for new oncology and hematology patients.

Supervise and monitor chemotherapy infusion patients.

Thursday is designated as an administrative day , performed remotely from home.

Average 20–25 patients / day .

No weekend coverage, no after-hours call.

Job Requirements

Requirements

MD or DO degree.

Fellowship in Hematology / Oncology required.

Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years.

Must be available for the full coverage period (Oct 6 – Dec 31, 2025).

Physicians only; no advanced practice providers.
