ID : 74144853 Shift : Pre op start time is 0545 PACU post op start time is 0730 ( 8s and 10s rotating in consecutive sche Description : Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required.Job Summary : -Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. -Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. -Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. -Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. -Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. -Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. -Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. -Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. -Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Schedule FTE Day shift rotating 8s and 10s depending on the phase of care.Weekends as neededOn call / Call Back as needed Pre op start time is 0545 PACU post op start time is 0730 ( 8s and 10s rotating in consecutive schedules)Skills : Required Skills & Experience : -Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment.-At least one 13 week previous travel assignment.-Two (2) years current experience required in specialty.Preferred Skills & Experience : -EPIC experience; can train on-site.Education : Required Education : One of the following is required : -Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).-Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Preferred Education : -N / A Required Certifications & Licensure : -State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. -BLS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.-ACLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.-PALS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.-Traveler must pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) testing during the first week of assignment.
