Outreach Training Associate

Reports To: Outreach Training Manager
Location: Outley House Philadelphia, PA
Status: Full-Time, 9 AM – 5 PM
Job Overview:
The Training Associate will play a pivotal role in the outreach program dedicated to supporting the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and its surrounding communities. This position is responsible for delivering onsite training sessions to PHL staff and community members, ensuring the effective dissemination of outreach services and engagement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Training Sessions:
Facilitate multiple training sessions daily for PHL staff and community members, focusing on outreach engagement and best practices.
Information Accessibility:
Ensure that information about outreach services and methods of contact are readily available to all participants.
Curriculum Development:
Develop specialized training curricula tailored to the specific needs and specifications of the audience.
Data Tracking & Analysis:
Monitor and analyze performance outcomes and data tracking related to training sessions and outreach effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of training experience
- High School diploma (Required), bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Proficient in de-escalation strategies to manage and diffuse potentially volatile situations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
- Ability to process and document reported incidents effectively and confidentially.
- Skilled in engaging and supporting individuals with mental health issues, ensuring appropriate referrals and resources are provided.
- Deliver specialized presentations from partner organizations, such as Women Organized Against Rape and other community organizations, as needed.
- Completion of training in outreach engagement best practices, including de-escalation, crisis management, and trauma-informed care.
