JOB OVERVIEW :

The IBHS-ABA Clinical Director provides supervision utilizing applied behavior analysis to staff working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in CFA’s IBHS-ABA programs. These programs serve children aged 2 to 6 and include center-based group programming (CORE) and 1 : 1 programming. The IBHS-ABA Clinical Director is responsible for completing a range of client assessments and supervising the performance and development of Behavior Consultants as well as individuals pursuing BCBA certification. The IBHS-ABA Clinical Director reports to the CFA Clinical Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Ensure the quality and integrity of IBHS-ABA services.
  • Oversee the delivery of treatment services and activities based on the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the program, aiding in the growth of service delivery and the program as a whole.
  • Monitor program development and engage in strategic planning; track productivity and census, ensuring that the program meets revenue and census targets; provide day-to-day program management and personnel management; and ensure adherence to the program budget in accordance with the Administrative Director and Clinical Director.
  • Regularly conduct fidelity checks on the clinical treatment model and provide necessary feedback and training to ensure fidelity is met and maintained.
  • Conduct clinical assessments (FBAs, skill assessments, preference, reinforcement) and develop behavior support plans for assigned clients.
  • Complete preference assessments and reinforcement assessments as necessary for assigned clients.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with all team members.
  • Ensure that Behavior Consultants are using appropriate behavioral data collection systems such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals.
  • Conduct training on a variety of applicable topics, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), skill acquisition assessments, program development, ABA interventions, treatment planning, graphing, etc.
  • Attend interagency meetings to coordinate the design of treatment plans and service recommendations.
  • Attend and provide the clinical voice / leadership for IBHS-ABA program meetings with funders and external providers to ensure that service delivery is in compliance and maintain the most up-to-date standards of service delivery.
  • Provide supervisory and clinical consultative guidance to CFA program leadership for clients receiving services as needed.
  • Attend Interagency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings and conduct Functional Assessment Interviews (FAI) and skill assessments with caregivers and potential clients. Provide clinical input for appropriateness of services.
  • Support Behavior Consultants in preparing for clinical concerns prior to each ISPT meeting.
  • Participate in the performance management process, including delivery of feedback and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the development and attainment of program-specific goals and objectives.
  • Establish, maintain, and report on statistical information and / or performance improvement-related measures for the ABA program.
  • Assist in clinical audits for the ABA program.
  • Serve as a member of the clinical leadership team.
  • Complete all required documentation in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with PHMC’s and CFA’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
  • Develop and execute clinical policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, training programs, and supervision as required by PHMC, CFA, and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Staff Leadership

Support and supervise Behavior Consultants in implementing designed ABA programs, including Group Early Start Denver Model (G-ESDM) : Provide (at a minimum) biweekly case consultation and observation.

Document all consultation encounters on the most current version of the BACB Experience Supervision Form.

Provide supervision for the equivalent of 5% of the supervisee’s total clinical hours worked per supervision period. (At minimum, 50% must be individual and in-person. The remaining 50% may be in small groups of no more than 10 people.)

  • Supervise IBHS-ABA Administrative Directors and the Clinical Care Manager.
  • Clinically oversee and supervise practicum students, RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBA candidates who work within the IBHS-ABA program when current supervisory caseload permits.
  • Maintain supervision contacts with assigned staff (up to 12) in accordance with IBHS-ABA guidelines.
  • Foster a strengths-based, trauma-informed, accountable, committed, and motivated environment.
  • Contribute to a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates high performance.
  • Interview and hire candidates for Behavior Consultant, Clinical Care Manager, and Administrative Director positions.
  • Ensure the caliber of diverse staff with skills appropriate to meet the needs of those served through training and supervision.
  • Model PHMC’s and CFA’s core competencies, holding staff accountable to do the same.
  • Mentor and develop supervisees to ensure that the team is focused on meeting the priorities of the program.
  • Support an environment that promotes working relationships with internal and external parties and reinforces the goals and objectives of PHMC, CFA, CBH, IBHS, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote objectives by providing cooperative, courteous service to clients, family members, visitors, and stakeholders.

  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB required
  • Must have one of the following : Master’s degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline such as psychology, counseling, clinical social work, creative arts therapy, or marriage and family therapy (degree must contain at least 12 credit hours in core behavioral health coursework)

    Licensure as a professional counselor (LPC), clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, or psychiatrist in Pennsylvania

  • At least two years of verified post-master’s experience providing applied behavior analysis and assessment to children with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders, and / or autism spectrum disorder
  • Experience writing Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plans and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) required
  • Preferred : Familiarity with Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)
  • CLEARANCES :

    Valid child abuse (Act 33), criminal History, FBI, and medical clearances

    TRAINING :

    Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed within three months of hire and then annually from the date of the initial training)
