Surgical OR Integration Field Technician

A day in the life

You start the morning reviewing project documents—proposals, port maps, wiring diagrams, and infrastructure drawings—so the installation plan is clear. With tools loaded in your company vehicle, you set out to a hospital site where you'll physically place equipment, terminate and interconnect cabling, download and configure software, and run through formal test procedures. Throughout the day, you collaborate with hospital IT to verify final system configurations on their networks and document progress for the project leader. You wrap up by completing checklists, entering notes and time / expenses in Siebel, and prepping for tomorrow's site.

Travel & schedule

This is a high-travel role with significant driving and likely overnight stays. You will visit installation sites across the country by company vehicle or by air. Travel is typically scheduled 1–3 weeks in advance for project planning. Expect extensive travel, including day trips, multi-night stays, and week-long assignments. Hours flex based on customer needs. Overtime is common but not guaranteed.

What you'll do

• Install operating room integration systems under the guidance of an Integration Specialist (I / II) or Integration Project Manager.
• Interpret project documentation (proposals, port maps, wiring diagrams, infrastructure drawings) to plan and execute installs.
• Place equipment, pull and terminate cables, interconnect devices, and configure software.
• Use test instruments to verify proper power-up and functionality; complete testing per documented procedures.
• Coordinate with hospital networks to validate final system configuration.
• Provide clear verbal and written progress updates to the installation lead / project manager.
• Handle administrative tasks in a timely manner : checklists, Siebel entries, expense reports, and timekeeping.
• Maintain professional, courteous conduct with customers, contractors, management, and peers; follow customer site protocols and all STERIS and customer health & safety procedures.

Compensation

Pay range for this opportunity is $54,187.50 - $70,125.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county / city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
