Job Title : Director of Safety and Sustainability

Location :   Multi-Site (Cape May, NJ; Santa Fe Springs, CA; Blacks Harbour, NB, Canada)

Reports To :   Sr. Director of Operations

Travel :  Up to 50% (as needed to support each plant)

Position Summary :

The Director of Safety and Sustainability is a dynamic and hands-on leader responsible for driving a proactive culture of safety, environmental health, and sustainability across our manufacturing operations in the U.S. and Canada. This role is not about managing from behind a desk—it’s about being on the floor, actively engaging with team members, and leading change through education, influence, and accountability. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for employee well-being, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship, with a track record of building strong safety cultures and delivering measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities :

Safety Leadership

• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures that foster a zero-incident mindset.
• Serve as the key driver of safety initiatives—modeling safe behaviors, coaching frontline leaders, and ensuring accountability at all levels.
• Partner with site leadership to conduct regular audits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Track and analyze safety metrics and trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal / OSHA, Work Safe New Brunswick and other applicable regulatory bodies in the U.S. and Canada.
