Position Summary :

V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking community-focused and resourceful candidates to serve as Outreach Specialists in Washington, DC. The Outreach Specialist will promote relationships with local communities and connect individuals and families to federal and local assistance programs, working collaboratively with service providers and organizations to improve access to health and wellness resources.

Requirements :

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred)
  • Certification : None required
  • Skills & Abilities :
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage diverse communities and build trust
  • Knowledge of local and federal assistance programs
  • Experience working with community organizations and service providers
  • Ability to identify access points and promote available resources
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage outreach activities

Responsibilities :

  • Promote community relationships with residents, neighborhoods, and local organizations
  • Identify and promote access points for federal and local assistance programs including food access, vaccines, tobacco cessation, home visiting, case management, and asthma control
  • Connect individuals and providers to incentive programs that enhance the value of benefits
  • Collaborate with schools, government agencies, housing providers, businesses, and nonprofits to reach families, seniors, and youth
  • Facilitate outreach efforts to improve awareness and utilization of health and wellness services
  • Support community engagement strategies and maintain records of outreach activities
