Senior Python Developer (Banking / Risk)

Location : Charlotte, NC - hybrid onsite 2 days / week.

Sponsorship - client not providing sponsorship now or in the future.

About the Role

Seeking a senior Python developer to design and build scalable risk technology solutions within a modern cloud environment. The role involves developing backend systems in Python, deploying applications on Azure, and collaborating on front-end interfaces (React, HTML, CSS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize scalable Python-based applications.
  • Deploy and integrate solutions using Azure cloud components.
  • Contribute to UI enhancements and application performance.
  • Implement secure authentication and robust unit testing.
  • Collaborate across teams and document technical deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Python development experience; Databricks / Azure a plus.
  • Proficiency with SQL / NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
  • Experience in risk systems or VaR frameworks preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and Agile experience.
  • Exposure to Power BI and data visualization tools beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills are paramount to this role.
