We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team!
- This is a hybrid remote work position.
Duties :
Works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adultsReview files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requestedReviews submitted information on techniques and exercises to diminish and improve linguistic challengesReviews submitted information on counseling and consultations for new patientsReviews submitted information on engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patientsEvaluates patient and recommends treatmentReviews individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needsReviews goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challengesAttends continuing education courses and works to advance personal knowledge and experience within the fieldProvides training to Residents, Students, and other staffResponsible for keeping accurate records and documenting billing informationReviews initial evaluations and diagnoses, tracks treatment progress, and notes any changes in an individual's condition or treatment planCollaborates with Physicians, Surgeons, Social Workers, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and other healthcare workersReview files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requested.Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the positionJob Requirements
Required education : Masters Degree in Speech / Language Pathology.
Skills :
Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and other patient privacy lawsProficient working with computer software used for documentation and report preparationAttention to detail when handling and documenting important medical informationAbility to be professional and patient when explaining procedures and processes to providers, patients, family, or care giversAbility to communicate verbally and in writingCertifications :
Licensed in Speech Language Pathology by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners.Working Conditions :
