This position supports the development of accounting policy, provides expertise on complex accounting issues, and contributes to the implementation of best practices. Youll have significant interaction with various business, Accounting, and FPA teams, as well as senior leadership and the parent company group reporting team. This role does not have any direct reports, and may have the opportunity to guide and mentor junior team members in the future. / ph3Responsibilities / h3ulliSupport the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures under IFRS and US GAAP standards / liliResearch, examine, and interpret accounting guidance to give recommendations on complex accounting issues and transactions, including but not limited to leases, stock-based compensation and derivative transactions / liliServe as a subject matter expert for ASC 606 / IFRS 15, providing comprehensive guidance, reviewing complex contracts, and documenting accounting conclusions for revenue recognition / liliPartner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to assess the accounting implications of business initiatives and transactions / liliGuide and train Global Accounting and Finance teams to enhance understanding and application of accounting principles / liliMonitor regulatory developments and accounting trends to assess the impact on financial reporting and identify process improvement opportunities / liliResearch, interpret authoritative guidance and develop accounting positions for new transactions encountered by the organization / liliSupport MA transactions including due diligence, valuation, and purchase accounting / li / ulh3Skills / Competencies / h3ulliBachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance / lili7+ years of progressive experience in a mix of public accounting and technical accounting roles, preferably in the tech industry / liliDemonstrated knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, along with proven experience in technical accounting research and the preparation of accounting memos / liliExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and interpret accounting standards and regulations / liliEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex accounting concepts to non-technical collaborators / liliDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting, while considering internal controls over financial reporting / liliAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, take ownership and drive results, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment / li / ulh3Salary Range Transparency / h3pUnited States Remote $120,000 - 168,000 USD per year / ppAustin Metro Area $120,000 - 168,000 USD per year / ppSeattle Metro Area $128,000 - 192,000 USD per year / ppNew York City Metro Area $125,000 - 175,000 USD per year / ppSan Francisco Metro Area $153,000 - 229,000 USD per year / ph3Salary Range Disclaimer / h3pThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location.
