Insurance coverage attorney practicing at least six years predominantly counseling clients on insurance coverage matters to work on complex insurance coverage claims involving both counseling and litigation. We represent insurers providing commercial, marine, professional liability, and pollution insurance coverage, among others. The preferred candidate should have experience conducting insurance coverage analysis, providing and preparing coverage opinions, preparing reservation of rights letters, and litigating declaratory judgment actions. Exceptional writing, organizational, analytical, and research skills required. We are a long-established New Orleans area law firm with an insurer-oriented insurance coverage practice.

• Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support case strategies.
• Conduct thorough investigation of factual basis of coverage claims and obtain necessary documents and evidence to support coverage positions.
• Draft and review coverage positions and legal documents related to commercial and marine insurance coverage.
• Analyze master service agreements, indemnity agreements, and maritime contracts related to commercial and marine insurance coverage.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide clear recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all case-related activities.
