Our mission is to empower firms and their leaders by providing capital, operational support, technology, and strategic guidance to help them scale while preserving their independence and culture.

As part of our continued expansion, we are investing in a Raleigh, North Carolina–based partner firm, and we are seeking an  experienced Tax Director  to lead and grow the tax practice. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of the firm’s tax strategy, client service, and team development within our broader national platform.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation, ideally with a Big 4, large national, or regional firm.
  • Demonstrated success leading client engagements and growing a practice.
  • Strong client relationship skills and a reputation for delivering exceptional service.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Must have experience with Individual High Net Tax returns and Business Entity Tax

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the tax practice for the Raleigh partner firm, with responsibility for growth, client service, and team leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Drive practice growth through expansion of services to existing clients and proactive business development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insight on complex tax issues and structuring opportunities.
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing tax team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture.
  • Work closely with leadership team and shared services functions to leverage technology, innovation, and best practices across the platform.

    • Qualifications

  • Active  CPA license required.
