We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner (NP). COMC is looking for a mission-driven team member who is comfortable working with patients with diverse backgrounds. We are seeking a positive, motivated, self-starter for this position.

This position will be located in scenic Osage Beach, Missouri, recently voted by Travel and Leisure.com as one of the top 15 best lake towns in America (number one for families), a great location for raising a family and enjoying a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, affordable healthcare to the communities we serve.

Responsibilities : Responsible for meeting the Centers goals and objectives as defined by the Board of Directors, as they relate to the duties of a Nurse Practitioner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide patient examinations, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment of selected illnesses under protocols jointly adopted by nurse practitioner and physician.
• Provide health promotion information and teaching thereof.
• Make referral to other health professionals and agencies when indicated.
• Assist in the further education of health professionals rotating through the Center.
• Assist with the periodic revision of health maintenance protocols, illness protocols, counseling protocols with other providers.
• Engage in COMC activities and attend COMC meetings as required.
• Participate in continued education activities for professional development and retention of licensure.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements : Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Missouri and be currently registered as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

Education and / or experience : Requires a minimum of a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Language Skills : Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to work with accounting concepts.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Other Skills and Abilities :

Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 35 pounds of weight.

Travel Requirement : To fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri drivers license and availability of a motor vehicle.

Knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA and 340B regulations is required. Confidentiality of patient information is mandatory.
