University Sustainability Officer
The primary purpose of the University Sustainability Officer is to develop and manage programs that address university strategic goals and ensure compliance with policies and regulations for environmental stewardship. Manage and lead the sustainability team and various University-wide initiatives and programs. Create, set, and evaluate sustainability goals. Balance the competing needs and available resources to achieve stewardship across the dimensions of business management, development, energy use, operations, and regulatory requirements. Clearly and effectively contribute to the development of operational and project planning the sustainability choices and trade-offs to maximize the impact of practices that fulfill the requirements of the position.
Minimum Experience / Education : Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field; and 10 years of progressively responsible experience in sustainability, including at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience : Experience in the Sustainability field.
