What You Will Be Doing :

The Senior Software Engineer, reporting to the Director of Data Services and Solutions, will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions within the Health Plan of San Joaquin. This critical role requires a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems like QNXT and JIVA, proficiency in web development with .NET, and experience in platforms such as RETOOL for low code / no code development. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of robust software solutions that support organizational strategic goals. They will drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development practices, ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of software assets.

Essential Functions :

• Software Development :

Design, develop, and maintain software applications and solutions tailored to meet the needs of healthcare systems such as QNXT and JIVA.

Utilize your expertise in web development, particularly with .NET framework and related technologies, to build secure, efficient, and user-friendly applications.

Leverage platforms like RETOOL for rapid application development, focusing on streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.

Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and drive projects from inception to delivery.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Drive innovation and advocate for best practices in software engineering within the team.

What You Have :

Education and Experience

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
