We are currently seeking a Tax Attorney to support our clients’ state and local tax needs. We offer a base salary depending on relevant experience in addition to benefits as well as performance-based bonuses. The ideal candidate for this role would have undergraduate education and / or experience in accounting as well as a law degree and experience. We pride ourselves on our commitment to client service and the professional growth of our employees.

Responsibilities :

• Creating and applying the state and local tax laws to benefit our clients while minimizing their tax obligations
• Completing sale and use tax reverse audits
• Reviewing client companies’ accounts payables data and using tax accruals to determine where sales and use tax is paid
• Analyzing sales and use tax payments for refund opportunities
• Developing appeals schedules and documenting the transactions for a requested refund
• Developing appeals and representing client companies at administrative levels such as PA Board of Appeals and Board of Finance and Revenue
• Elevating appeals and engaging in settlement negotiations as necessary with the office of Attorney General
