Regional Chief of Neurosurgery

Position Overview

The Neurological Institute and Department of Neurological Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is seeking an full‑time Spine / Trauma / General Neurosurgeon to lead its program in the Cleveland Clinic Akron and Canton region. The selected candidate will manage a team covering spine, trauma, and general neurosurgery, work in a Level 1 Trauma Center (Akron General) with reciprocal support from the Level II Trauma Center in Canton, and contribute to the rapidly growing regional program.

Key Qualifications

• American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) BC / BE neurosurgeon with a high degree of competency in spine surgery.
• Preferred : completed fellowship training in spine neurosurgery.
• Experience managing a multidisciplinary surgical team and participating in trauma and general neurosurgery calls.
• Familiarity with state‑of‑the‑art equipment (Brainlab Brain Suite, O‑arm, biplanar angiography) and an established Neuro‑ICU team.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary of $194,000.00–$250,000.00 (full‑time, 100% FTE) plus an attractive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and academic appointments through the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
