Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Publishing Editor / Copywriter

with excellent English writing and editing skills. Ideal candidates will have a sharp eye for detail, deep knowledge of various book structures, and the ability to work across multiple genres and formats. This role involves both copy line editing and developmental editing for a diverse and evolving client base.

Key Responsibilities

Edit and proofread manuscripts in various genres : Non-fiction

business and thought leader work

academic writing & papers

historical writing

autobiographies / memoirs

Perform developmental editing to enhance structure, tone, and clarity

Collaborate with authors while maintaining their voice

Ensure formatting aligns with style guides (Chicago Manual of Style, APA)

Adapt to a wide range of genres and client needs

Requirements

Strong command of English writing and editing

Experience with copy, line and developmental editing

Familiarity with Chicago and APA formatting

Attention to detail and narrative structure across book types

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Backgrounds

Writers or editors with experience in specialized fields such as academic publishing, and non fictional work encouraged to apply. Full and part time positions available.
