Program Coordinator
Science, Society & Culture (SSC) seeks a program coordinator to assist in the review and development of programs for its portfolio of science outreach grants, as well as to help execute the division's external communications strategy. The ideal candidate will have some experience in creative science outreach, engagement and / or media. The program coordinator will report to the program director of Science, Society & Culture.

Program Management Support 75%
The program coordinator's primary responsibilities will be to support the program director and program manager for grantmaking on day-to-day pre- and post-award processes. These include coordinating the timely completion of grantee budget documents and related materials, conducting due diligence, communicating with awardees throughout the duration of their grant, and coordinating with the internal grants team at the foundation.
External Communications Support 25%
The program coordinator will also assist in external communications for the SSC division, including the timely coordination of website and social content (liaising with the foundation communications team), preparing PowerPoint presentations as needed, assisting with storytelling for our National Initiatives work, and at times writing editorial content for various SSC initiatives. This position will not involve work on any of the SSC division's media initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for, and experience in, public engagement with science. They will have solid interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail and a knack for communicating complex ideas in a clear manner.
