POSITION BACKGROUND
The company's Business Development / Sales division aims to continue growing the business by adding new clients while maintaining low attrition of existing clients. This can be achieved through strong customer service for existing and potential prospects, developing new lead sources, and building relationships with professionals (and professional organizations) throughout the community and beyond.
The successful candidate for the Sales Support Specialist position will be task-oriented, pay great attention to detail and accuracy, and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). The candidate will work closely with all Business Development team members and support many of the department's daily functions. The candidate will be proactive and energetic and take pride in always demonstrating a professional demeanor.
JOB DUTIES
As a Sales Support Specialist, you will perform various administrative duties to support business development, including :
- Serve as primary administrative support for the sales team, assisting them with various functions and freeing them up to pursue new leads and referral sources.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and referral partners
- Communicate with new clients via phone and email to collect additional information during the account opening process, facilitate an introduction to clients’ account managers, and provide status updates to clients on their account opening and funding.
- Utilize the company CRM (Salesforce Lightning) to enter new client account information and to establish new accounts, with special attention to accuracy and detail.
- Contact other retirement plan companies / custodians to follow up on the transfer of funds to new client accounts.
- Prepare and review reports on new leads, new account status, and webinar attendees using company CRM.
- Clearly communicate the services offered by Advanta IRA to new clients
- Demonstrate understanding of the essentials of self-directed IRAs, including account types, prohibited transactions, and potential investments.
- Move potential clients through the account opening and decision-making process by assisting them in completing forms, answering questions on potential investments, and involving other sales / marketing / transaction staff to handle more advanced issues that a potential client may have.

Learn and thoroughly understand the services Advanta IRA offers our clients.Understand and handle the various types of transactions a client may want to conduct and the necessary documents Advanta IRA must receive to process those transactions.Accurately input client and transaction data into CRM System and Trust Account software.Assist clients with the paperwork and process for opening an account, transfers, rollovers, ROTH conversions, and investment transactions.Manage a high volume of calls and emails in a timely manner.Advanta IRA provides comprehensive training and supervisory guidance to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
SKILLS, BACKGROUND & TALENTS REQUIRED
1-2 years of administrative or sales support preferredPossess strong comprehension skills and the ability to work with or without direction and multitask while paying close attention to details.Experience with Salesforce or Salesforce Lightning is a plus.Be exceptionally well organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.Excel at accomplishing tasks and following up with necessary parties.Utilize excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Show proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Embrace and exhibit our core values—professionalism, integrity, proactivity, and eagerness.Retirement plan and / or financial services experience is a plus.Employee Benefits Summary
