Hourly Rate: $20.00- $21.00

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Substitute Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
• Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
• The Substitute Instructor maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Maintains student personnel folders.
• Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach in state of Florida. (RO may waive if center is unable to hire certified teachers, but the candidate must pursue certification). State guidelines for substitute instructors may be adhered to.
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
